A Sunny NYC Oasis

As seen in New York Spaces Magazine, this light, bright space was reborn from a previously dark and dreary, walled-off prewar kitchen and dining area and offers a modern take on the clients’ love of midcentury design.
A wall of double faced glass cabinets lets in light from the adjacent living room and terrace without sacrificing storage.

Clever design conceals unmovable ductwork and beams (typical in NYC construction) and offers privacy and definition.

My lovely client and friend needed an update for her all white NYC apartment that was more fitting of her lively family of four. We added dimension and charm to the walls with brick veneer and updated the kitchen with a highly-functional island. A separate bar area was created from a closet and barnwood and iron accesnts were added to the pantry door, island and backsplash.

My own kitchen

As seen in House Beautiful Magazine (“Kitchen of the Month”, April 2012, p. 123), my own kitchen came together to compliment the style of my 1905 home while honoring the way I cook and the way my family likes to live. Lots of open shelves and pot racks help keep everything we need within arms reach and super organized. Our beautiful La Cornue Albertine range was a dream come true and the steamer trunk detail on the black island complements its style. Magnetic chalkboards on the refrigerator panels make the kitchen fun for the whole family.

A Chef’s Kitchen

In my second kitchen project with my Stefanie from Due Cellucci Tomato Sauce, we created this kitchen to fit the surroundings of this beautiful Victorian charm—keeping it’s beauty and original details while adding modern elements and details worthy of a seasoned shef including a steam oven and professional refrigerator plus, usable storage, a large area for entertaining and a dramatic flair! An adjoining scullery completes the space for optimum flow.

A sophisticated library bar

This sophisticated space was created for for second-time client @duecelluci in her beautiful new Victorian-style home. The perfect place to entertain and relax in style. The bar features hidden beverage drawers, a built in ice maker and 24” wine refrigerator all behind matching panelling as well as a petit sink and faucet and plenty of room for storage.
